The SBA Manufacturing Fee Waiver Expires September 30 — Here’s Exactly What It’s Worth

There are 27 days left on one of the most underreported capital opportunities in the US market right now — and most founders haven’t heard of it.
For fiscal year 2026, the Small Business Administration has zeroed out its upfront guaranty fee on 7(a) loans to small manufacturers up to $950,000. On 504 loans, it went further — waiving both the upfront guaranty fee and the annual service fee for manufacturers of any size.
What that’s worth in real numbers:
- On a $950,000 7(a) loan: the upfront fee disappears entirely
- On a $5.5M 504 loan: five to six figures in savings over the life of the note
The window closes September 30. The approval date — not the application date — must land before then. At 5–10 business days for lender turnaround on a 7(a), you need to be talking to an SBA-approved lender this week.
The full breakdown — exact steps, which door to use (7(a) vs 504), and the side-by-side comparison — is in the September issue of Global Capital Opportunities.
